Hark! A Vagrant
I spent half this cartoon collection laughing and the other half feeling like a complete idiot. Beaton is a history/lit heavyweight who can't stop riffing on her obsessions. Yes, plenty of her humor shot straight over my head; but I would adore her for the comic about *all three* Brontë sisters even if the rest of the book bit (which it didn't). I hope all my Canadian friends read this book and explain some of the Canadian history jokes to me.
